Use of Technology in Filming

We have used a digital camera, and tripod so far in our music video. We plan on using the studio to film parts of the video, the music will be played in the background including a lyric sheet to read off. There are some disadvantages of using a normal digital camera, one is that the quality of the image is not fantastic which makes it look less more like a music video as professional videos are filmed at a high quality. Another disadvantage of using just one digital camera is that we have to redo acts to get different shots in, so it takes up more time. As we only have a camera and tripod we can't film any tracking shots unless we use it handheld. However there also advantages, for example, the cameras size being small is easy to carry around and hold. The camera also has a playback function which helps us look at the footage and decide whether we keep it or not.
